NEFAMA mission is to provide the professional fire apparatus and equipment mechanic with
continued education through the exchange of ideas. As we enter into a new phase of technology, there is a growing
need for training. With continued support and cooperation from everyone the educational training can continue to
make the fire service as safe as it can be. Armed with this expanding growth of knowledge of the increasing
technological advances in the fire service, the Fire Apparatus Mechanics are now known in the industry as
Fire Apparatus Technicians.
